Continuing to strengthen the North: The Ministry of Housing management and district administrators participated on Thursday in the groundbreaking ceremony for Ramot Yam - a new neighborhood in Acre that will house approximately 8,000 housing units for the Haredi public. Construction of the first phase, which includes 2,360 units, has begun in the neighborhood, and the development phase of an additional 1,500 units is currently beginning. An additional 4,000 units are in the planning and marketing processes. Minister of Construction and Housing Yitzhak Goldknopf said at the ceremony: "The new neighborhood, where 1,500 housing units will be built, will significantly strengthen the Jewish character of the city and restore its former glory. Since I took office as Minister of Construction and Housing, I have set a goal for the professional ranks of the ministry, which is to strengthen existing cities, in parallel with the new cities that we are promoting. "The laying of the cornerstone today has additional significance in the face of our enemies who rise up against us to destroy us, especially in recent days when we see against our interests the desire of the enemies who are trying to destroy us. The Land of Israel, from the sea to the Jordan, from the Lebanese border to the Egyptian desert, is ours forever and we will never move from it." Acre Mayor Amichai Ben-Shloushe: "This is an exciting day and an important and dramatic milestone for the residents. The laying of the cornerstone for the new Haredi neighborhood in the Ramot Yam neighborhood in Acre East is not only a symbol of a new beginning but also a significant step in the process of developing the city and the new neighborhoods. This project is the result of fruitful cooperation between various parties, and I would like to thank the entrepreneurs leading the large residential and employment project. Your investment, your vision, and your dedication not only bring with them a breakthrough in the field of urban development, but also contribute significantly to strengthening the community and creating new opportunities for residents.".
