The military court today (Wednesday) sentenced Michael Petroff, a student at the Maalot HaTorah yeshiva, to 40 days in prison after he was arrested for desertion.
The detainee is the son of Rabbi Yosef Petroff, head of the Ma'alot HaTorah Yeshiva and one of the leaders of the Jerusalem faction.
