Not just cake: Governor Dan Gertler received a giant Torah scroll and a holy shrine cake at his home in honor of the holiday.
The cake was sent by the worshippers of the 'Hisda' synagogue in Bnei Brak, in honor of the holiday and the Bar Mitzvah celebration for Gertler's son, which took place tonight.
The magnificent cake was designed in the shape of a box on which a Torah scroll was placed, on whose "robin" it was written, "They shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your seed, nor from the mouth of your seed's seed forever.".
The cake also included an ark, with lions standing above it, and Gertler's name embroidered on the cream 'curtain'. The cake designers didn't forget to add some tables and chairs for the worshippers.
