Rescue organization drivers were called to an apartment in Bnei Brak this evening (Thursday) following a report of an 8-year-old child who was choking.
Rescue forces who arrived at the scene provided initial medical treatment to the child, who was suffering from breathing difficulties, and he was taken for further treatment to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
Rescuers Leiby Zalman and Shmuel Rotenberg: "When we arrived at the house with an MDA ambulance that we were manning, we found an 8-year-old boy having difficulty breathing, after the parents said he swallowed a toy part.
""We provided him with initial medical treatment, and evacuated him for further treatment to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.""
The rescue organization notes that there have been a number of recent cases of babies and children swallowing parts of this game. The organization asks parents to pay more attention to games that can cause life-threatening choking.
