Head of the Chabad Rabbinical Court: "We will not take to the streets or campaign""

The head of the Chabad Rabbinical Court, Rabbi Yitzhak Yehuda Yaroslavsky, clarified this evening (Monday), in an interview with Moshe Glasner, why he sent his letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he called on him not to accept the Trump plan, which includes a Palestinian state. What is the major opposition to the plan that supposedly entails floating 'candy' in the form of 'historic annexation' and perhaps a missed great opportunity? The rabbi was asked.  HaGiri Yaroslavsky: "There is a very big problem. Anyone with eyes in their head understands that this is a danger, I have also heard from experts and people who understand. Trump will not give what he cannot give, and the Arabs will get what they demand. According to the plan, settler enclaves will be closed.". Will the court require the AGO to actively oppose the plan, and will Chabad issue official statements? "נפנה לכל אחד שיכול לפעול. לא נצא לרחובות ולא נעשה קמפיינים. מחובתינו להתריע, כמו שהרבי נלחם על כך שארץ ישראל שייכת לעם ישראל ואין לוותר בעד שום הבטחות. יש פה פיקוח נפש." בתוך כך, יניר קוזין, הכתב הפוליטי של גל"צ, דיווח הערב, כי חבר הכנסת בצלאל סמוטריץ' נפגש ברחובות עם אנשי בית הדין של רבני חב"ד במטרה לרתום אותם למאבק ב'תכנית טראמפ' במתכונתה הנוכחית. לפי הדיווח, סמוטריץ' ביקש לגייס את חסידי חב"ד גם ברמת פעילויות מחאה נגד התכנית וברמה התקציבית. במכתב ששיגר הגרי"י ירוסלבסקי לנתניהו - הוא כתב: "כאשר נשמעים היום דיבורים וכו’ והסכמה להקמת מדינת טרור בשטחי יהודה ושומרון,  מבקשים אנו מכבודו שח”ו וח”ו לא יעשה את הטעות לקבל את תוכנית המאה של הנשיא טראמפ הכוללת בתוכה מדינה פלשתינית רחמנא ליצלן, ודי למבין. תוכנית זו תביא רק היפך הטוב והביטחון של ארץ הקודש”.
