These days we are entering the jubilee year of the miraculous victory of the Six-Day War, in which the city of Jerusalem was united and the people of Israel returned to the throne of the Bible, the heart of the Land of Israel.

For almost fifty years, Jews have lived in Alon Moreh and Hebron, in Gush Etzion and Benjamin, in the Jordan Valley and Samaria, and there are still those who imagine that the wheel can be turned back.

Between Efrat and Ramla. What is the difference between Ariel and Givat Ze'ev and Acre and Nahariya? Between Ma'ale Adumim and Beit She'ar Illit and Be'er Sheva and Nazareth Illit? These are also territories that were conquered in the war. These are also outside the boundaries of the Jewish state that was recognized by the world (the borders of the partition).

The only difference is nineteen years – these were released in 1948 and these in 1967. That's all.

The source of the conflict

The lie. Arab propaganda has succeeded in implanting in global public opinion the lie that the territories of Judea and Samaria are the source of the conflict and the reason for the unrest in the Middle East.

It is important to remember and repeat the simple facts.

Before '67, there was no problem of 'territories,' and yet Arab countries went to war against Israel with the aim of destroying it. Palestinian terrorist organizations had launched murderous attacks on Jews even before that, and their umbrella organization was established in 1964, three years before the 'occupation.' It was called the PLO - the Palestine Liberation Organization, and the reference was to Tel Aviv, Haifa, and the entire Land of Israel.

The price of aggression. Arab propaganda portrays Israel as the aggressor, when the exact opposite is true. Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, with the assistance of other Arab countries, such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Sudan, prepared for a war of annihilation against Israel.

Arab propaganda spoke of "throwing the Jews into the sea.".

Ahmed Shuqiri, chairman of the PLO, was asked what the fate of the Jews would be after the Arab victory. His answer was: "I would prefer that none of them survive.".

The victory in the war that our enemies forced upon us took a toll on them. They lost territories from which they threatened our security. It has always been that way and it should be that way. Aggression has a price.

The Arab population. The world demands that we withdraw from Judea and Samaria in order to grant freedom to the Arab population. Our hearts really go out to the world's concern for the population.

Here we are, we have withdrawn from the Gaza Strip; what freedom does the population have there? And is there any doubt that this will be the fate of the residents in Judea and Samaria? Those who care about the residents must work to stop the terror, so that they can truly live in well-being and prosperity.

Save us from our own hands

The distance of peace. The formula 'territory for peace' was false from the start and has proven to be a disaster. Giving up territory does not bring peace closer, but rather further away.

It encourages the Arab hope of eliminating the Jewish state in stages. It instills a sense of victory in the terrorist operatives. Haven't we tried this path and seen it?.

The miracle. As the years pass, the magnitude of the miracle becomes clear. After all, immediately after the victory, weakness fell upon us, and the Israeli government announced its willingness to return the territories that had been liberated 'in exchange for peace.'.

For almost fifty years, we have been looking for a 'partner' who would agree to accept the lands of our homeland in exchange for a signature on the lawns. And God, the Almighty, saves us again and again from ourselves.
