A one-year-old toddler was injured in the head in her home in Ramat Beit Shemesh on Monday afternoon by an iron skewer.
Rescue forces called to the scene provided her with initial medical assistance and evacuated her to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
Yaakov Jungreiz and Zvi Dov Kahanovitz, paramedics in the United Hatzalah rescue unit: "We were told that she tripped off the couch in her home and onto an iron skewer that was stuck in her head.
""We provided her with first aid and then she was evacuated in a United Hatzalah ambulance to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. A doctor in the hospital's trauma room was able to remove the skewer from her head and her condition is described as stable.".
