Dear citizens of Israel, a year ago we launched a historic preemptive strike against Iran's intention to destroy us with atomic bombs.
We thwarted this immediate threat and also eliminated the dictator Khamenei.
If we had not acted in a timely and forceful manner, we would not be here today. And I pledge, and I pledge again, that Iran will not have nuclear weapons.
We also acted with the same determination against Hezbollah.
Hezbollah planned to invade the Galilee with thousands of terrorists, and at the same time it planned to destroy Israeli cities with 150,000 rockets and missiles. We also thwarted this threat and eliminated Nasrallah.
I want to tell you, our heroic fighters, how shall I put it?! They are destroying Hezbollah. We continue to destroy all of their terrorist infrastructure in the security zones, including huge underground facilities in the Beaufort Range. So big that I have never seen the likes of them.
Iran and Hezbollah are weaker than ever and we are stronger than ever. But our struggle with them is not over yet.
In the past 24 hours, Iran and Hezbollah have tried to impose a new equation on us, and this equation is unbearable and unacceptable in my opinion.
They thought they would fire from Lebanon and Iran at Israel and that we would not act. That didn't happen and it won't happen, not on my watch.
As I have done for decades, I stand firmly for our right to act against our enemy, and so we have done now.
After Hezbollah fired into Israeli territory, I ordered the IDF to attack terrorist targets in Beirut and eliminate Hezbollah operatives there. We did so.
After Iran attacked Israel, I ordered the IDF to attack military and economic targets throughout Iran, and we did that too.
Right now, the fire on this front is contained. Because after we prepared the terrorist regime in Tehran, it stopped attacking us.
If a regime makes the mistake and attacks us again, we will respond forcefully because Israel has a full right to self-defense, and we will exercise them, as I say with appreciation and respect in my good conversations with my friend President Trump.
With unity, determination, and wisdom - we will defend the State of Israel.
"Together, with God's help, we will restore security to the North.".
