A budget official from the Prime Minister's Office burst into tears today (Monday) and left the Finance Committee's hearing room, after the committee's chairman, MK Hanoch Milbitsky of the Likud, reprimanded her in front of everyone present - and mocked her.

Milvitsky leveled accusations at the budget official in a particularly strong tone: "You give two or three items and you get arrested," he scolded her. He added mockingly: "When they ask for details, please give me a neat detail - not everything is about stopping and waiting, maybe the Messiah will come along the way...""

He then intensified his tone: "You're wasting time, you're wasting time, what do you expect? That we don't count and realize you didn't give us everything? Give me full details properly, in an organized manner, really, that's enough.".

The representative from the Prime Minister's Office tried to answer and detail the data in her possession, but choked up with tears - and fled the discussion room.

The Knesset Channel documentary sparked a wave of protest over the committee chairman's conduct.
