Following the storm caused by the publication of the Rebbe's remarks about ascending the Temple Mount: The Amshinov Hasidic movement issued an official clarification on Monday afternoon, stating that the Rebbe's position on the Temple Mount remains unchanged - and that no order or permit was ever given to ascend the Temple Mount at this time.

The announcement was made by the Rebbe's son, Rabbi Moshe Milikowski, who emphasized that there was a complete distortion in the interpretation given to the halachic words spoken in the Rebbe's house.

""We were shocked by the Rebbe's words on the Temple Mount being taken out of context. God forbid, the Rebbe did not permit ascending the Mount, contrary to the opinion of all the poskim. They took an internal halakhic discourse that was held in the Rebbe's home a year ago, which was published in an internal Hasidic newsletter and was intended for those who understand the Rebbe's type of answers, and dishonestly published it as if the Rebbe was permitting or instructing to ascend the Mount in practice, something that never occurred to him.".

The Rebbe's son added and clarified that the Rebbe's position is consistent with the opinion of all the poskim, according to which at this time, aliyah to the Temple Mount should not be permitted, a move that could easily lead to a prohibition on keret.

The storm erupted after the Rebbe's words were published on Channel 7, where quotes were cited from the Amshinov Hasidic journal 'Yera ve Simcha'.
