United States President Donald Trump published a scathing post on his social media account Truth Social this evening (Sunday) against Iran and against former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden. This was after Tehran's response was forwarded to the American government.
The president wrote: "Iran has been playing games with the United States and the rest of the world for 47 years (delay, delay, delay!), and finally when Barack Hussein Obama became president he was not only good to them, he was great, actually went along with them, abandoned Israel and all other allies, and gave Iran a new and meaningful chance at life.".
The president detailed his claims about massive money transfers to Tehran under the Obama administration: "Hundreds of billions of dollars, and $1.7 billion in greenbacks, flown to Tehran, given to them on a silver platter. Every bank in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland was emptied - it was so much money that when it arrived, the Iranian thugs had no idea what to do with it. They had never seen money like that, and they never saw it again. It was taken off the plane in suitcases and carry-ons, and the Iranians couldn't believe their luck.".
The president added that the Iranians "finally found the biggest sucker of all, in the form of a weak and stupid American president. He was a disaster as our 'leader,' but not as bad as sleepy Joe Biden!"
For 47 years the Iranians have been making us wait, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests and recently killing 42,000 innocent unarmed protesters, while laughing at the United States being 'great' again. They won't laugh anymore!"'
The statement is being published shortly before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump are expected to speak by phone to coordinate positions.
Netanyahu will attend a conference of heads of Druze and Circassian authorities at the Dead Sea tonight and shortly thereafter announced to the participants: "Excuse me, I must leave for Jerusalem to speak with our great friend President Trump. We have huge joint missions. But I thought it was important that I come to honor you. We are brothers in blood, brothers in life.".
