Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid only founded the 'Together' party at the beginning of the week to run together in the upcoming elections, but this evening (Thursday) Yaron Avraham revealed on Channel 12 exclusive quotes from harsh things Bennett said about Lapid in closed conversations - just days before the unification.
Bennett told his interlocutors: "Lapid is Toxic, Toxic, Toxic. He is toxic, toxic, toxic.".
According to Bennett, Lapid is not bringing votes from the right but "smuggling votes to the right.".
Sources told Channel 12 that Bennett explained that a union that does not include Yashar Party Chairman Gadi Eisenkot is "the wrong move.".
In the conversation, Bennett made it clear to his associates that he did not intend to unite with Lapid separately.
Sources who were present at the meeting were amazed to see the two convey unity in front of the cameras after the conversation.
Bennett explained in the conversation that Lapid is "politically meaningless" for right-wing voters. However, Bennett's main goal at this stage is to position himself as the leader of the bloc opposite Netanyahu.
The 'Together' party responded to the embarrassing revelation: "In light of the fact that after the unification, the party soared to become the largest party in Israel, the only toxic thing is the Deri-Smotrich-Netanyahu coalition that promotes evasion and dismantles Israel.".
It should be noted that, according to Shlomo Filber's poll from last night, the Likud party is receiving 35 seats, while Bihad is in second place, far behind - with 18 seats.
