Teams from the Israel Canine Unit, together with the inspectors of the Nahal Amud Nature Reserve of the Israeli Defense Forces, conducted a special search day in the Meron - Safed sector, for the missing Avraham Moshe Kleinerman, Rafael Chaim Hadad, and Moshe Eliezer Ilovitz.
The searches conducted today focused on complex areas, including thickets, caves, cliffs, water, and more. The teams worked with sniffer dogs and drones, as well as a unique application for managing and documenting scan areas developed by the unit, which documents the areas that were scanned.
These are areas that have not yet been scanned in the search for the three missing persons, and this is a very important section that overlaps with areas relevant to the three missing persons. The mission has not yet been completed.
IDF Commander Mike Ben-Yaakov: "I am very happy about the cooperation between the IDF dog handlers and the experts from the Nature and Parks Authority. The goal is to ensure that no field cell falls through the cracks, and that the caves, cliffs and thickets, which are less frequented, are properly searched. I thank the volunteers and rangers of the Nahal Amud Nature Reserve for their great assistance today in the search.".
