The struggle for the sanctity of Jerusalem: On Saturday night, a special discussion was held by the rabbis of Ramot with the eminent Rabbi Shalom Cohen, president of the Council of Torah Sages, about the ultra-Orthodox nature of the neighborhood.

The discussion was attended by Rabbi Shlomo Neiman, rabbi of Ramot, Rabbi Eisenthal, rabbi of Ramot 3, and Rabbi Avraham Daniel, rabbi of the Meurot Moshe synagogue in Ramot 4. Also participating were members of the Haredi Community Administration, Naftali Lorenz, Moshe Hasid, and Bashari.

A source familiar with the details told Haredim10 that the discussion raised the issues at hand regarding Mayor Nir Barkat's decisions that could desecrate the neighborhood, including: the establishment of the country complex, plots of land transferred to security forces, a school awarded to the 'Chachmei Lev' yeshiva, and more.

Rabbi Cohen emphasized the commitment to maintaining the character of Ramot as an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood, and emphasized the importance of cooperation between all parties.

In addition, the Grand Vizier praised the activities of the Haredi council members, and said that he would guide them to continue the necessary actions.
