Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar addressed the ground entry into Lebanon on Channel 2 today (Tuesday). "We intend to put an end to this story called Hezbollah," the minister said.
When asked why Hezbollah poses a threat to the north once again, despite the government's statements at the end of the previous round, he said: "We defeated Hezbollah by a margin then, but no one said there was no more Hezbollah.".
He added: "It's possible that Hezbollah will remain with Kalashnikovs in Lebanon. You never know, that's not the story. But there are currently a number of threats that we are eliminating.".
In order to weaken Hezbollah so that the state of Lebanon can stand up to it, the IDF will be forced to act against the terrorist organization: "We trust first and foremost in the Holy One, blessed be He, and then in our army.".
Zohar admitted: "We didn't end the 12-Day War because we wanted to. We have a very significant partner in the United States, and a great president who the Israeli people should be grateful for every moment he is president.".
