During a Q&A session on her Instagram page, Gideon spoke about the change in thinking she underwent following her introduction to the Haredi world.
When asked how she defines herself religiously, she replied: "Something I love is that my name always says 'Jewish,' so I'm Jewish, I'm very connected to my Jewish identity, I really love a lot of things about religion.".
She later shared about her desire to send her children to a religious school. "A lite that suits us, but with some added value. I really like the traditionalism, there's something about that that anyone can take for themselves.".
Another follower asked: "What new things have you learned about Haredim since you met Hili?""
Gideon replied: "Everything was new to me because I knew nothing. My perception of Haredim was very wrong, only what I was fed - from the media, that they are parasitic extremists - there is nothing to be done, yes I am ashamed of it.".
She later added: "This is the greatest gift I have received and I think it is my duty and right to show that we are not that different. In the end, when we don't know each other, ignorance is created, and from there fear, apprehension, and hatred are created. As soon as we know each other, all the defenses will come down.".
