This evening (Sunday), a central rally of thousands was held in Elad for the election of Yisrael Porush as mayor, led by Maran Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Lando, the Germa Hirsch, the Gera Silberstein and the Gera Cohen, the city's rabbis and community leaders in Elad.

First thing at the polls: What will you do if there is an alarm when you vote?

Maran HaRav Lando carried the main burden and spoke emphatically about the obligation to vote for Israel, including for mayor:

"Whoever claims that we are acting in a racist manner, or accuses us of blasphemy against God, woe to him and woe to his soul! It is incumbent upon each and every one of us and his household to vote for Rabbi Yisrael Forosh for mayor of Elad, because he is acting for the honor of God and the Yiddishness of the city of Elad, and anyone who says otherwise is mistaken and misleading.".

The yeshiva head added: "Each and every one of us and our families must elect a Jewish layperson for mayor who has advanced the city spiritually. Anyone who says otherwise is mistaken and misleading. Woe to him and woe to his soul. No doubt takes away certainty. I will already wipe out a great man. There is no halakhic validity to an agreement that was signed without the consent of the rabbis and endangers the future of the city.".

Here is the full load:

""With the permission of the Torah scholars, yeshiva heads and rabbis.".

The only reason why all of us Torah scholars leave the seminaries and participate in the municipal elections is solely because of the well-known ruling of our Rabbi Chazon Ish in his letters that municipal elections are 'many bodies of Torah and the survival of Judaism depends on it.' So much for the words of the Chazon Ish - and so all the great men of Israel after him instructed, and hence our duty to vote in the elections.

The concept of Torah bodies is the complete opposite of foreign concepts that have infiltrated the discourse among Torah scholars, such as: party honor, honor of representatives, roles and budgets, and all the like.

The concept of Torah bodies is first and foremost about the maintenance of Judaism, the preservation of Judaism and the character of the religion, and all general religious matters in the city - mikvahs, eruvin, the establishment of yeshivas, and schools that raise flocks in the traditional way, and the spiritual nature of the general atmosphere in the city. Of course, for this purpose, a party framework must be established in which representatives who obey the Torah are appointed to meaningful positions so that they can act. But the main thing is, and we must not forget - that the entire reason we participate in the municipal elections is solely for the maintenance of Judaism, and this is what we are required to consider when we come to participate in these elections. Otherwise, there is no point in participating in the elections. The entire ruling of the Chazo"a is only to maintain Judaism, and not about the honor of the parties and the honor of the representatives.

I have known the city of Elad personally almost since its founding, and it is no secret that in its early years the difficulties this city experienced were unbearable, especially in the entire Jewish character of the city. Out of respect for the public, it is not appropriate to mention everything that happened here in the city in the past, but the entire spiritual future of the city was in tangible existential danger.

The city was victorious, and Maran Rabbi Shteinman, a righteous man of blessed memory, whose concern for the spiritual future of the city was foremost in his mind, worked hard to elect Rabbi Yisrael Porush Shehi, as Maran Rabbi Shteinman saw in his mind that with divine help he was the man who would be able to lead the city to exaltation in all matters of Judaism in it, and indeed, God's will in his hand succeeded, and Rabbi Yisrael Porush was elected, transforming the entire conduct and character of the city of Elad into a Torah city, where the voice of the Torah is heard, and many yeshiva students from all walks of life meditate on the Torah there day and night.

And here the question arises, how can one come and say that replacing Rabbi Yisrael Porush will benefit Yiddishkeit? After all, the situation that existed before in this city is known to everyone, and it is known that God-fearing people who were in the past the mayors of the city and came with a sincere desire, tried to work for the success of the city and did not achieve what they wanted only because of the complexity of the city, and indeed they were replaced several times, and Rabbi Yisrael Porush is a great man, and in the spiritual advancement of the city he is a great man, and in what way can one say that doubt will drive out certainty?

We are not discussing here which representative is more God-fearing! This is not the issue at all, it is a matter of God and it is not for us to deal with it. The issue is that the city of Elad is complex in its many communities and their needs are many and often conflicting, and the difficulty of managing it while constantly caring for its spirituality in all respects is a difficult to impossible task, and Rabbi Yisrael Porush, who succeeded in this, must not be removed from his position, and the city must be given the opportunity to continue to be managed by him, especially since he had excellent relations with all circles, and many of them, including the Sephardic public, sympathize with him and secretly consider him suitable to manage the city.

Therefore, to all those who claim that there was an agreement, apart from what the rabbis say, that the agreement itself was made improperly, and has many flaws, and there are judges who have examined the agreement and said that it has no halakhic validity - even if it were necessary to uphold it, the real answer is that such an agreement has no validity when the agreement clearly endangers the spiritual development and Torah future of the city. No one is authorized to sign a document whose subject is the risk to the city from a spiritual and Jewish perspective.

And with this, I turn to those who accuse me of racism and blasphemy against God - can we, the Yeshiva community, which is the root community in whose institutions and blasphemies are many members of the Mizrahi community, who rise and excel in Torah and fear of God, and maintain continuous contact with their rabbis even many years after their marriage, be accused of this perverse claim? Is it because all our hope is in this city, that it will be run in the best way for the honor of God and for the care of the Torah bodies and the maintenance of Judaism, and is this blasphemy against God?!

Anyone who claims that we are acting in a racist manner, or accuses us of blaspheming God, woe to him and woe to his soul!

It is obligatory on each and every one of us and our household to vote for Rabbi Yisrael Porush for mayor of Elad, because he is working for the honor of God and for the Yiddishness of the city of Elad, and anyone who says otherwise is wrong and misleading, and we should also urge and convince others to vote for Rabbi Yisrael Porush.

It is forbidden to evade or avoid or act differently, because the Torah and the very existence of Judaism depend on it.

In addition, it is obligatory for each and every one of the Torah's followers to vote and urge others to vote for the list of God-fearing people, "Degel," whose representatives listen to the Torah and work with dedication for the needs of the community and the individual, both spiritually and materially. The number of voters for this list must be increased, because the character of the city for the time and for generations depends on this.

I would like to congratulate Rabbi Yisrael Porush Shechi on the occasion of Sha'ar Bat Rabi'ah, that he will continue as the head of the city and work for the glory of God and the continued spiritual prosperity of the city, and that he will not have any obstacles or harm, and they said, Amen.

And my blessings and best wishes to all who vote for Rabbi Yisrael Porush for mayor, and who work to urge others to vote for him, that they may be granted eternal life and enlightenment from above, contentment with all that they have, from the peace of mind of peace, and that God fulfill all the desires of their hearts for good, and whoever has some difficulty, may his reward increase as he overcomes it and acts as he should.

Let us pray to the Holy One, blessed be He, to shower upon us all a pure spirit from on high, and let us all care solely for the honor of His blessed name.

And now let's read the chapter of Psalms verse by verse for the glory of God, the first two letters of the chapter of Datmania Efi - 119.
