The Israel Post Philatelic Service today produced, in collaboration with the artist Israel photographer Bardugo, a special national stamp in memory of the late Rabbi Yosef. The stamp is on sale starting today at all Israel Post branches.

The stamp can be purchased together with a special commemorative page and a festive package, inside which the purchaser receives an official stamp sheet - which includes 9 stamps in a special issue, a booklet of fascinating content about the rabbi, exclusive photos from the family archive, historical manuscripts and rare documents, which are being published for the first time.

The selected photo was taken by Bardugo during his last visit to the rabbi, a few weeks before his departure.

In a conversation with a Haredim 10 reporter, Bardugo says: "There is nothing to say about Rabbi Ovadia. That day I arrived at the rabbi's house with a large delegation of donors. After the delegation left, I stayed at home for nearly two hours to take this picture.

""Seeing the rabbi at his advanced age, in the middle of the night, immersed in piles of books - was a sight I will never forget. The photo for the stamp was chosen from countless photographs. There is no doubt that this is a compliment.".
