The next round? Only two weeks have passed since the end of Operation Protective Edge, and today a senior political source is warning that Hamas is already preparing for the next operation.

""Hamas has resumed rocket production and smuggling from Egypt, and has also begun rehabilitating attack tunnels," the source said.

According to him, Hamas has about 40% of its production facilities remaining, and it is using them to produce a new stock of rockets.

The source added that, "Hamas did not wait even a moment after the last round of fighting and began renewing its armament in preparation for the possibility of another round.".

Earlier, in a briefing for reporters, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said, "The truth must be told, it is not realistic and impractical for there to be a denuclearization. No one will denuclearize the Gaza Strip for us, but it is important to insist on it as part of the agreements that already exist.".

In the coming weeks, talks in Cairo between Israel and the Palestinians are expected to open, but it is still unclear whether they will actually take place, and how they will be conducted.
