Police officers from the Taiba station in the Central District and Border Guard National Guard soldiers arrested a Taiba resident on suspicion of inciting terrorism.
The arrest was made after the police received information about a resident of the city of Taiba who, according to suspicion, had posted content on social media that included words of praise and support for the attack that was carried out on Sunday, in which reserve soldier Major (ret.) Chaim Klumiti, 55, a member of the readiness squad of the settlement of Tzur Natan, was murdered.
The terrorist, Omar Yassin, an Arab-Israeli, 21 years old, a resident of Taiba, was eliminated.
Upon monitoring the post, investigators from the Taiba station opened an investigation and during the night (Friday night) the station's detectives, together with Border Police National Guard soldiers, raided the home of the suspect, a Taiba resident in her 50s, and detained her for questioning.
As part of the operation, her mobile phone was also seized.
During her interrogation, the suspect admitted that the account from which the comments were posted belonged to her.
At the end of the investigation and in accordance with its findings, the suspect's detention in court was extended until Sunday - and the investigation continues.
