The Sunfrost company announced this evening (Wednesday) a recall of whole frozen tender green beans following the "presence of a foreign body" in the bag.
The company, owned by Tnuva, which sells frozen vegetables, did not state in its announcement that the "foreign body" was a mouse.
This is a product certified as kosher by the Haredi Badatz and the Beit Yosef Badatz, which expires in 2024.

What led to the recall was a video posted by a consumer on social media.
She wrote: "Today I'm opening a package of frozen Sunfrost beans to cook for the kids. I see a lump of frozen beans, crumble it in my hand, it feels strange. I examine it closely and discover a mustache, to my shock I find the head of a frozen mouse in my hand. Check, maybe the legs and tail are in the package in the freezer?""
The company's statement said: "Sanfrost is acting in accordance with the Ministry of Health's guidelines and in coordination with it, and is collecting the products from points of sale.
""We ask anyone who has bags of the above products with the above dates, barcodes, and production hours to refrain from consuming them, and to contact Sunfrost consumer service at 1800282844 to receive credit vouchers.".
All of the company's products undergo rigorous quality testing. This is an uncommon occurrence and does not characterize the company's products. All other products that are not on these dates and within the specified time range are safe for use and consumption.
We apologize for the error and will continue to work to ensure the quality and integrity of our products.".
