''Treasure Island' twenty-first century version: Michael Sailstorfer is an artist who managed to get thousands of people to flock to the beach after telling them that he had hidden piles of gold there.
The beach is located in the Folkestone district of Kent, UK, and many people have chosen to spend their vacation at one of the area's hotels while they search for the lost treasure.
The artist promised that whoever finds the gold will win it, and the people conduct the search after low tide when the sea recedes and it is possible to dig in the soft sand.
The gold hunters interviewed by Sky News traditionally told what dream they plan to fulfill with the gold. "I will open a store and start a new business," said one of the young men. "I will keep the gold as a souvenir of this special experience," said an elderly woman from the south of the country.
The artist's move is part of the promotion of the city's art festival, and judging by the number of people who came to the venue, it seems that the idea he adopted was definitely successful.
