
Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: Veteran publicist Benny Gal died tonight (Monday), at the age of 77, after a serious illness.
He previously lived in Kiryat Arba and Beit El, then lived in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Ben-Zion Yosef (Benny) Glaster, z"l, was born in 1944 in Argentina and at the age of 3 immigrated to Israel with his parents, growing up on Kibbutz Beit Oren in Carmel. He did his military service in the Paratrooper Brigade.
He began his professional career in the late 1960s when he founded the advertising agency 'Gal-Shargai'.
In the early 1970s, he worked at the Peled office and was even a member of the secretariat of the Gush Ha-Amunim.
In the early 1980s, he founded the advertising agency "Gal Advertising" - specializing in advertising for the ultra-Orthodox sector. The agency's first significant venture was the marketing of the ultra-Orthodox city of Emanuel in Samaria.
In the 2007s, after his retirement, his wife Sarah Gal merged with the Oren Advertising agency, managed by Oren Elimelech. .
Over the years, the firm grew and developed, even adding additional partners, including Avi Lerner and Nahum Benedict, and became the largest advertising and marketing group in the ultra-Orthodox and national religious world.
Benny Gal was not just an advertising man. In 1992, Gal began providing training Coaching For corporations, companies and individuals.
In 2005, Gal left the world of advertising and began dedicating his time to studying at the Reua Seminary and Rabbi Ginzburg's School of Jewish Psychology, and to developing the Jewish coaching model. A model for coach training schools'BSD Jewish training.
He is survived by his wife Sarah, six children and 17 grandchildren.
Oren Elimelech, the ministry's CEO, said: ""A great loss to the world of advertising. My son, one of the founders of our firm, was a milestone and someone who raised many generations of great advertisers over the years and was a role model for them. We send our condolences to Sarah and Meir and the entire family.".
The funeral will leave today at 4:00 PM from the Shamgar Funeral Home and from there to the Mount of Olives, where he will be buried.
