Residents of Bnei Brak woke up this morning to find thousands of colorful balloons hanging on the city's streets, inviting them to come and spend time in Jerusalem during the intervening days.

At the beginning of next week, a series of 'Immigrants to Jerusalem' events will begin, in which the Haredi public will travel en masse to visit the capital and enjoy the multitude of spiritual and physical experiences the city has to offer.

This year, for the first time, the mayor decided to uniquely address the ultra-Orthodox sector and invite it in an original way to come and visit the city.

As part of the special initiative, residents of Bnei Brak were amazed this morning to witness the delightful sight of thousands of balloons in different colors that were hung from vehicles and bicycles. In addition to the thousands of balloons, residents of the ultra-Orthodox cities encountered dozens of "treat stands" throughout the cities - colorful stands with brochures and information about everything the city of Jerusalem has to offer.

The stalls attracted a lot of attention, played Hasidic music, and dozens of attendants handed out popsicles and ice cream to the children of the ultra-Orthodox cities.

The stalls offered residents, among other things, vouchers for a 50 percent discount on a second night at a hotel in Jerusalem and a 40 shekel credit voucher for a variety of attractions in the city.

Entire families came to the booths and enjoyed a fun hour of downtime in a Jerusalem atmosphere, and heard about the many attractions it offers for the Haredi family.

The balloons and stalls project, which began this morning, will continue throughout the week in the cities of Beit Shemesh, Modi'in Illit, Elad, and the ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

Wherever the stall operators went, they were happily welcomed by Abrahim and family members, who were interested in the 'Immigrants to Jerusalem' program and the variety of activities that will take place there next week.

At the heart of the activities in Jerusalem is the 'Immigrants to Jerusalem' project, which is now in its sixth year: a huge attraction complex in the Nation Buildings where children from all over the country enjoy a variety of shows, activities, attractions, and play areas.

''Immigration to Jerusalem' will take place from Sunday to Thursday, the 23rd to the 27th of Av.

""This is the largest happening in Israel for the Haredi family, and we are proud to invite the Haredi public to participate in the shows, activities and attractions in the invested complex," says Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon.

""This is a tradition that has been going on for the sixth year, and I am happy that this year we can hold "Olim Li Yerushalayim" with mass participation, within the framework of restrictions and strict adherence to public health. A true and unforgettable Jerusalem experience awaits you!".

The mayor wished to thank Ariela Rajwan, Deputy Director and Head of the Culture, Society and Sports Administration, and Rabbi Pinchas Erlich, Director of the Torah Culture Department, for their important role in bringing the project from the dead to the benefit of the residents of Jerusalem this year, which passed to the joy and enjoyment of hundreds of thousands of participants.
