The family of Nirel Zini, an officer in the Givati Brigade and a resident of the Dor Tza'ir neighborhood in Gaza City, was informed today (Thursday) that the human bones found yesterday in the village do not belong to him.
According to estimates, the bones found on the kibbutz grounds belong to a terrorist and not to a fighter whose head was beheaded on October 7 - and has not been found since.
Nirel Zini, the Rev., was murdered on October 7th in his residential neighborhood, along with his partner, Niv Raviv, the Rev.
Only six days after the massacre, and after the two were declared missing, were the families notified that their bodies had been located.
Several months later, the family was informed of the shocking detail: the body that was laid to rest was buried without the head.
Following the discovery of the bones and the answers received, Amir, Nirel's father, urgently requested that the authorities continue the scanning operations.
Amir Zini told Ynet: "The discovery of human bones in the area shows that the area has not yet been fully cleared and there is an urgent need to return to searches and re-examine the area of the neighborhood and its surroundings immediately. Our life's mission is to bring Nirel to a full burial and we will turn over every stone to fulfill this mission. Help us. We cannot search alone anymore.".
