For the second time in less than a day, the Pelephone network reported disruptions in its operations this morning (Wednesday).
The network noted that these were only isolated disruptions.
The fault was fixed within a relatively short time, and the company stated that the network is gradually returning to normal functioning and that the company's engineering teams continue to monitor and track the network's performance.
This is the fourth malfunction on the Pelephone network in the past month.
Yesterday evening, there were numerous glitches in network activity, and many customers were outraged that they were unable to send and receive messages or browse the Internet. The glitch was fixed about three hours later.
Pelephone's CEO explained that the disruptions were caused by the cellular network upgrade work and ordered it to be stopped.
In a conversation with NEXTER, Ran Gurion, CEO of Pelephone, said that the problems stem from an unsuccessful upgrade of the subscription system - and the company is returning customers to the older system, which is still operating.
""All events have one source," he explains. "We are upgrading the network's database to a new HP database and we chose their advanced system." During this process, something went wrong due to a manufacturer defect or a bug, and as a result, it was decided to return to the old system.
Yesterday, customers reacted with great anger. "Simply an incomparable disgrace," wrote one user. "Shame on you.".
Another surfer was furious: "You're a crappy company, you have problems twice a month. After the holiday, we move to another company.".
And another frustrated customer wrote: "Tired of being your customer.".
