MK Hanin Zoabi from Balad visited the family of the boy who was kidnapped and murdered - and condemned the act. She called the people behind the act "criminals.".
As you may recall, Zoabi refused to define the kidnappers of the three yeshiva students as terrorists, drawing angry criticism. Among other things, complaints were filed against her with the police and MKs are calling for her removal from the Knesset.
In an interview with the Ynet website, Zoabi said: "They are talking about the murder of the three kidnapped people. I said I hope they return home, and I ask that the Palestinian prisoners that Israel kidnapped also return home, but Netanyahu didn't want to.
""There is now a bloody conflict. The criminal is Israeli policy, and the victim is the Palestinian people. As long as there is occupation, there must be a struggle against the occupation. Unfortunately, there has not been enough popular struggle according to international law. If we want to preserve our personality, we must fight the occupation and the criminals.".
Zoabi also said: "I also sit with Knesset members who I don't know how many Palestinians they murdered, so I sit with murderers and terrorists in the Knesset.".
Knesset MK Basel Ghattas (Balad), from Balad, also visited the home of the family whose son was kidnapped and murdered, and harshly criticized the government: "The incitement machine of the government, the settlers, and the Israeli media worked, and the blood of the Palestinians was shed by the unrestrained demands for revenge.
""Recent events have proven once again that the Israeli occupation and the continued oppression of the Palestinian people are solely responsible for the bloodbath.".
Batas threatened and said that anyone who demands revenge will 'receive an intifada': "There is one factor that bears responsibility for all the bloodshed, and that is the Israeli government, the government ministers and the right-wing Knesset members who demanded revenge and encouraged violence and the murder of Palestinians. The word revenge has been repeated with dizzying frequency in the media and on social networks.".
