Without a doubt, the two representatives of the peace camp in Netanyahu's government have managed to set a new record in hypocrisy and disgust. You almost want to vomit from their nonsense, their self-deception, all of which comes at our expense and is intended to serve only one interest – to legalize their continued membership in the government. Ehud Barak could learn a lesson from these two new politicians.
A few facts, not that Lapid-Livni is interested in. Israel grossly and blatantly violated the understandings with the Palestinians. At the start of these negotiations, as you may recall, the Palestinians waived two of their three conditions (the 1967 lines and the construction freeze). Netanyahu celebrated. He committed "only" to releasing prisoners. He simply did not release the fourth batch. Why? Just like that. Just like that. He decided he had a condition. That Abu Mazen would commit to continuing the negotiations. Have you heard the knights of the political process, Lapid and Livni, say anything about this blatant violation of the agreement? God forbid. It could have gotten them into trouble with Netanyahu. God forbid. And then Abu Mazen "blew up" everything. He submitted a request to 15 organizations affiliated with the UN. Whoa, what a painful violation. Once upon a time, the Palestinians were accused of a revolving door, of releasing terrorists, of turning a blind eye to information about attacks, now the terrible violation is that they want to be accepted into international institutions, what a disaster. Luckily we have 200 atomic bombs to deal with the existential danger.

Livni is not angry that Netanyahu made a mockery of the negotiations and released more land for construction in settlements than ever before, Lapid is not seething over the fact that Israel suddenly tightened its demands in the security sphere to ensure that Abbas will never be able to meet them, Livni has nothing to say to the Israeli public about the fact that for eight months Netanyahu has not let her present a map in the negotiations and has not made an inch of progress, the main thing is that she will be able to keep her seat in the Justice Ministry and tell us with a face full of pain that she entered politics and returned to politics only because of the political process.
