At the initiative of Knesset Speaker Yuli Yoel Edelstein, a prayer rally was held at noon in the Knesset building for the safety of the kidnapped.
The rally, which took place in the Knesset's Sprinzak Hall, opened with a Mincha prayer, followed by the reading of Psalms and a prayer for the three hostages.
Edelstein passed in front of the Ark, reading aloud verse by verse from the Psalms.
And there, too, impressive unity was seen, as MKs from all factions in the House came to participate in the prayer, including (partial list), Minister Uri Ariel, Minister Yair Shamir, and MKs: Opposition Leader Yitzhak Bozhi Herzog, Moshe Gafni, Uri Maklev, Israel Eichler, Eli Yishai, Nissim Ze'ev, Yitzhak Va'aknin, Avraham Michaeli, Ayelet Shaked, Orit Struck, Shuli Mu'alem, Moti Yogev, David Azoulay, Dov Lipman, Moshe Piglin, Nissan Slomiansky, David Rotem, Meshulam Nahari, Zevulun Kalfa, Aliza Lavie. As well as Knesset Director General Ronen Plot.
As you may recall, at the beginning of the week, the ultra-Orthodox factions instructed the Knesset Secretariat that they were withdrawing the motions of no confidence in the government, which were supposed to be debated today in the Knesset plenum.
