Shooting incident on Saturday night in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood: 13 bullets found

Drama in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood: סמוך לשעה 2:00 בליל שבת נשמעו יריות בפאתי שכונת רמת שלמה בירושלים. כוחות הביטחון הוזעקו למקום על-ידי הסייר השכונתי המועסק על ידי המינהל הקהילתי. מבדיקת גורמי הביטחון שסיירו במקום, עולה כי בוצע ירי ונבדקות כל האפשרויות. על פי עדויות של תושבים, הגיע אוחז בנשק, ככל הנראה משכונת שועפט הערבית הממוקמת בסמוך, ופתח בירי אל עבר גן המשחקים - 'גן השש'. ככל הנראה, מדובר באירוע פלילי. הירי בוצע אל עבר קבוצת צעירים ששהו באותה שעה בגן. אחד הבחורים שירו לעברו סיפר כי הכדורים "עברו לי מעל הראש". יושבי הגן נמלטו ולא היו נפגעים. הירי נשמע בכל רחבי השכונה השלווה בליל שבת. היורה נמלט לכוון של שועפט. כוחות גדולים של משטרה ויס"מ הגיעו לשכונה ופתחו בסריקות, כדי לאתר את היורה - אולם לא אותר איש. בזירת הירי נמצאו 13 קליעים. Broadcaster Yossi Ben Atar wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday night: "The entire neighborhood where I live, Ramat Shlomo in Jerusalem, did not have a calm Sabbath. An armed terrorist entered the playground on Saturday night and opened fire. Miraculously, there were no casualties. Wait. Haven't you heard about this? Ahaha, Aharonovitz doesn't want you to know. The reality of fear in the heart of Jerusalem 2014 is unbearable.".  The Jerusalem Police stated that the nature of the incident is still unclear, and that an investigation has been opened.
