A new survey by the polling institute "Maskar" shows that the top "Facebook personalities" of the religious sector are, not surprisingly, media figures Amit Segal, Hanoch Daum, Emily Amroussi, and the couple Sivan Rahav Meir and Yida Meir.

Participants in the survey - cited on the Nerj website - were asked to rank dozens of characters from three categories - current affairs and politics, humor, and a general category.

In each field, approximately 40 prominent figures who are popular with the religious-national sector on Facebook were collected, and they were presented to respondents in random order. Each respondent was required to mark up to seven Facebook figures, those who were the best in their opinion in that field (at least three could be marked).

After processing the data and cutting out the representative sample of the national religious sector, the final ranking of the top 20 leaders in each field was presented.

In the field of current affairs, Amit Segal came in first place with 56 percent.

Following him are Emily Amroussi, Yair Sharki, Kalman Libeskind, and finally Temple Mount man Yehuda Glick.

In sixth place in the current affairs field, 'Hatzel' – Yoav Eliasi – unexpectedly came in.

In the humor category, journalist and stand-up comedian Hanoch Daum came in first place, creating a consensus between men and women in the sector, with both genders choosing him in first place.

Publicist Yotam Zimri came in second place, religious stand-up comedian Yair Orbach came in third, followed by Amir Moyal, and the top five was rounded out by stand-up comedian Shalom Assayag.

In the category known as 'general', the Meir couple came in first place, with Sivan winning 63 percent, followed closely by her husband with 39 percent.

Following them appear journalists Avri Gilad and Irit Linor, then three rabbis: Rabbi Chaim Navon, Rabbi Benny Lau, Rabbi Yuval Charlo, and finally journalist and stand-up comedian Kobi Arieli.
