Good morning, the National Insurance Institute is making progress: a new service at the National Insurance Institute will allow documents to be sent online directly to the relevant branches and departments. In effect, the era of facsimile and mail is over. The service will allow documents to be sent through a short and simple identification process, and documents will arrive directly to the handling officer.
From now on, it will be possible to log in to the National Insurance website from a computer or mobile phone and transfer documents directly to the officials who are handling us. The service is intended for anyone who wishes to update the National Insurance with new or additional information, and to send documents regarding a pension claim, which is being handled by the National Insurance.
The new service is in addition to a variety of new online services offered to the public: submitting claims for benefits on a variety of topics, calculators for checking eligibility for benefits and calculating the amount of benefits, ordering certificates, and a variety of services on the Personal Service website, including the option to view letters sent to us and the list of documents we have submitted to the branch.
Social Welfare Minister Haim Katz commented on the progress today, saying, "The National Insurance Institute is becoming more accessible and friendly, and is expanding its activities to realize the rights of the public. We will continue to open new services, shorten bureaucratic procedures, and amend regulations that will make it easier for those eligible to receive what they deserve.".
""We are developing a variety of new services tailored to customers, digital and automated services. The National Insurance Institute is currently at the forefront of online services offered to the public," said the Director General of the National Insurance Institute, Professor Shlomo Mor Yosef.
