Histadrut Chairman Avi Nissenkorn announced today (Monday) at a demonstration in which about 2,000 Histadrut employees participated in front of the Ministry of Finance, On a strike in the entire public sector starting this Wednesday at 6:00 AM.The Teachers' Federation and the Teachers' Organization will also take part in the strike.
The reason for the conflict with the Ministry of Finance: the Histadrut's demands for a wage update in the public sector and the deadlock in negotiations with the Ministry of Finance regarding a new wage agreement for employees in the sector.

Meanwhile, the Association of Chambers of Commerce submitted an urgent request this morning to the National Labor Court to issue an injunction against the Histadrut's intention to shut down the entire economy starting this Wednesday.
The petition of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce states: "This is the fourth time in just one year that the Histadrut has threatened to resort to the weapon of doomsday and exercise the right to strike as part of a general strike in the economy. The Israeli economy cannot be a captive of the news every day of the Histadrut's strike threats." The petition emphasizes: "The declaration in itself, even if it is not implemented, is capable of causing serious damage.".
