Soccer player Yair Cohen Tzedek, who plays as a midfielder for the Jordan Valley team, flew to Uman to spend Rosh Hashanah near the Zion of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, was detained last week by Ukrainian authorities after it was discovered that he used his brother's passport.

Because of this, Cohen Tzedek was detained by local authorities. Only with the intervention of the Israeli consulate was he released on Thursday, and today (Sunday) he flew back to Israel.

The midfielder, who repented and managed to cause a lot of God's holiness with the kippah and Shabbat observance, was supposed to return to Israel on Wednesday and report for the team's training. When he did not arrive, the team contacted his family, but then it became clear, much to his dismay, that contact with him had been completely severed.

After 24 hours of uncertainty, during which the group members were in constant contact with his family, it was learned that Cohen-Tzedek, against whom there is a ban on leaving the country, had been arrested.

From the time of his release from detention until his flight, the actor stayed with Rabbi Hillel Cohen, one of the rabbis of Kiev and director of 'Hazla Ukraine'.

To lift his spirits, yesterday the community organized a soccer game with boys from the Jewish community in Kiev.
