Taasu-Kav, the long-standing telephone helpline for the unemployed and job seekers, was recently launched specifically for the Haredi public.
The line operates with the help of employment counselors who are available to applicants and provide advice, personal guidance, simulations, and more, in a program that is built and tailored personally to each applicant.
After building the plan, in pre-arranged phone calls, the employment counselors help applicants define their professional needs, the profession and type of work that are most suitable for them, prepare (or adjust) their resumes with them, practice job interviews in simulations, with the "do's and don'ts" rules and professional tips for increasing the success rate in getting a job.
The extensive experience accumulated by the Be'Etsami association and the Meftach organization in promoting employment throughout the country, and in selecting employment counselors from the Haredi public, leads to high success rates with the help of the Lord.
Shula, one of the employment counselors at 'Tassu-Kav', tells of an example process: "An ultra-Orthodox woman was interested in jobs teaching classes for children. However, she didn't really know how to start, who to contact, how to introduce herself.".
""As part of the process, we worked with her on upgrading her resume. Following professional guidance, and in light of our advice to her to adopt a proactive approach - to contact potential employers, and even directly to the municipality in her place of residence, she found a job as an assistant to a child with a disability.".
Shula adds: "Sometimes, throughout the job search process, barriers and lack of clarity arise, and a process of accompaniment with an external person helps clarify the situation, advance steps, and reach the desired point.".
It should be noted that the service is free and is intended for people who are interested in going to work and finding a job that matches their skills and aspirations.
Rabbi Naftali Flintenstein, head of the "Employment Promotion in the Haredi Community" department at the "Be'Eszmi" association, says that the success of the Ta'asu-Kav project in the Haredi sector reinforces the association's professional assumption regarding the need for a personalized process for applicants from the Haredi public as well.
""The issue of comfort and discretion is also an important issue for the needs of the sector. We will continue to work and support the integration of the Haredi population who wish to enter suitable employment; this is one of the main goals of the association.""
You are invited to contact the employment counselors at "Tassu-Kav" of the Be'Etsami association and a key to the Haredi sector by phone: *2119, leave a message on the call center, and one of the experts will get back to you to begin the process, at the end of which you too will find a suitable job.
Taasu-Kav for the Haredi public operates in collaboration with the Joint-Israeli Branch of the Ministry of Defense and with the support of the Morris Vivian Wahl Foundation.
