""Esther is from the Torah, from the Minyan.". As it is said, "And I will hide myself, I will hide my face" (Babylonian)
The holy sages searched for a source for Esther in the Torah and found it in the context of hiding one's face from God. This connection is not understandable at first glance.
And what is the connection between Esther and concealment?
Our commentators have given a beautiful explanation for this: Upon closer inspection, we find that the entire story of the scroll is one long concealment; starting with the rise of Ahasuerus to kingship, continuing with the rise of Haman, the junior minister, to greatness, and ending with the great miracle: the rise of Mordecai the Jew and the victory of the Jews.
The chain of events that occurred until the happy ending of the Haman affair cannot be connected at a superficial glance.
How did the wheel turn around?! Everything is hidden and incomprehensible in nature.
But one thing is clear from the story of the scroll: while the people refused to listen to Mordecai, decrees were imposed on him, and when the people followed his instructions, the wisdom of the Torah, he was saved.
This concealment is not the property of that period alone, but is the property of all generations and certainly the property of our generation.
It is difficult to know with all that is happening around us how we will emerge from the darkness into the great light. We do not know how to connect the events and understand all the processes that are taking place, for this is "the unreadable.".
But one thing is clear: there is a hidden twist and it leads us to a good place.
But like the people of Israel at the time, we must know that if we want to ultimately achieve good, we must follow the teachings of our sages.
This is a sure way to success.
