The advisor decided not to close the case against Silvan Shalom

היועץ המשפטי לממשלה, יהודה וינשטיין, החליט היום (רביעי) בתום פגישה עם פרקליט המדינה, שי ניצן, ראש אח"מ ובכירים נוספים  שלא לסגור לפי שעה את תיק החקירה נגד השר סילבן שלום. ככל הנראה, ישנן פעולות חקירה בתיק שטרם הושלמו. ראש אגף החקירות והמודיעין במשטרה, ניצב מני יצחקי, הציג  את ממצאי הבדיקה בעניינו של השר סילבן שלום בפני היועץ המשפטי לממשלה ולפרקליט המדינה, והמליץ בפניהם לסגור את התיק נגד השר סילבן שלום. זאת לנוכח הבדיקות בתיק בחמשת השבועות האחרונים, שבסיומן לא נמצאו ראיות המחייבות פתיחת חקירה. אולם היועץ החליט אחרת. As far as is known, the police investigation was conducted regarding three cases in which the minister allegedly behaved in violation of the law. The minister, who intended to run for president, was questioned with a warning.  The police were able to locate the women, but they refused to cooperate with the investigators and provide a version, except for the 45-year-old who filed a complaint with the National Fraud Investigation Unit, claiming, among other things, that while she worked under Shalom during his tenure as Minister of Science about 15 years ago, he behaved illegally. The complaint is subject to the statute of limitations. The investigation into the affair was almost complete about two weeks ago, but additional information that indirectly reached the police extended the investigation.
