Is this man's greatest nightmare?

A 12-year-old boy fell into a coma - a 'coma' - and woke up from it two years later, realizing that although he was awake and his mind was active, his body was still paralyzed. Only 12 years later did the boy return to function, revealing the nightmare he had been going through over the years. This is reported by the British 'Mirror'.

Martin Pistorius, a South African teenager, was diagnosed with acute meningitis at the age of 12. The illness left Pistorius in a coma, and his parents, Rodney and Joan, remained at his bedside, caring for him with devotion.

But at the age of 14, Martis woke up and realized that he was trapped inside his body: "I was there, not quite from the beginning, but after about two years of being in a vegetative state, I started to wake up.

""I was aware of everything, just like any normal person. Everyone was so normal, and didn't even notice that I was there and present again," the boy was quoted as saying in the Mirror.

Martin said that all he had to do was "think," but that his thoughts became darker and darker as time went on. He kept thinking that he might be in this state forever. "I decided to just stop thinking," he said.

""One day, my mother came to visit me and I heard her say: 'I hope you die.' I can't describe how I felt at that moment.".

The mother was recently interviewed on a radio show that revealed the story, saying that she was simply "looking for relief" and describing her difficult feelings.

A television was placed in front of Martin's bed, showing a children's show about a dinosaur called 'Barney the Dinosaur.' "I watched Barney for years, you have no idea how much I hate that dinosaur," Martin says today.

At the age of 26, Pistorius' body began to show signs of recovery, and after a while he was able to get out of bed.

He is currently married and uses a wheelchair, and he published his story in the book "Ghost Child.".
