Police: We have completed the investigation of Minister May Golan, the case has been transferred to the Attorney General's Office

The National Fraud Investigation Unit at Lahav 433 has completed the investigation into the case of the Minister of Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women, MK May Golan, and into the case of public employees close to her and others involved - on suspicion of crimes in the field of morality.

After a covert investigation lasting several months, and with the approval of the Attorney General, the unit launched an open investigation in September 2025 on suspicion of committing a series of offenses, including bribery, fraud and breach of trust, receiving something by fraud under aggravated circumstances, forgery with intent to receive something, obstruction of justice and obstructing a police officer in the performance of his duty. As part of the investigation, dozens of suspects and witnesses were questioned.

The investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office.

After completing all investigative activities, the head of Lahav 433, Superintendent Meni Binyamin, and the head of the AHM, Superintendent Boaz Balat, approved the transfer of the investigation file for review and decision by the Attorney General's Office.
