Avner Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's son, who enlisted about a month ago and is currently serving in basic training, was slightly injured today (Tuesday) and taken for tests at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
Netanyahu was treated in the hospital's emergency room and did not require hospitalization. An IDF spokesman confirmed the details.
A hospital spokeswoman said: "Soldier Avner Netanyahu was slightly injured during military training. His condition is completely stable.".
Netanyahu was drafted into combat service in the Intelligence Corps at the beginning of this month. The prime minister and his wife Sara arrived at the recruitment office in Jerusalem, accompanied by security guards. "We are very excited, like every father and mother when their son goes to the army," Prime Minister Netanyahu said at the time.
