A day after throwing a stun grenade at the apartment of a businessman living in District 8 in Ashdod, last night (Thursday) the perpetrators struck again - this time a stun grenade was thrown at the home of Avrech Hasid Gur, who lives on Rava Street in District 7.
Residents told the Ashdods website that at around 1:25 a.m. a man arrived on a motorcycle, entered the building, climbed to the designated floor, identified the apartment and threw a stun grenade at the door of the house.
The apartment was not damaged, but the panic was immense.
""There was a huge explosion," said an eyewitness who lives in the building. "For a moment it seemed like a bomb had been thrown at the building. In reality, it was a stun grenade that made a huge noise due to the echo caused by the stairwell. It was scary to think what would have happened if someone had been outside.".
Police cars were dispatched to the area and collected detailed testimony from the father of the family.
According to the report in Ashdods, this is a resident who got involved through no fault of his own in the sad affair of the businessman from District 8.
This morning, the police announced that a quick response by Ashdod police officers led to the arrest of four suspects in the case.
According to the police, upon receiving reports of the stun grenades being thrown, police forces responded to the scenes and launched accelerated investigative operations, in which operations were carried out to locate those involved.
""Within a short time, the police were able to locate and arrest four suspects, residents of Ashdod, and they were taken for questioning at the police station. In accordance with the needs of the investigation and its findings, the police will request that the suspects be brought to trial at the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court, with a request to extend their detention.".
