Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: Rabbi David Morgenstern, rabbi of the Sokolov-Kock Beit Midrash in Bnei Brak, passed away at the age of 71.
The late z"l was born in Tel Aviv on the 12th of Adar 5755 to his father, the Rebbe Rabbi Mendel Meir Morgenstern zt"l of Sokolov-Kock, who was a descendant of another son of the 'Sheraf of Kock', and to his mother, Mrs. Rachel, may God have mercy on her, the daughter of the Governor Rabbi Moshe Ludmir zt"l who founded 'Pardesei Ludmir'.
In his youth he studied at the Grodna Yeshiva in Ashdod and adhered to his rabbis from Gur. Since his father's passing, he has taken over the management of the Sokolov-Kock Beit Midrash in the Ramat Aharon neighborhood of Bnei Brak, and served as rabbi.
He left behind a large family. Among his sons is the Director General of the Ministry of Housing, Yehuda Morgenstern.
His funeral will be held today (Monday) at 2:30 PM from the Sokolov-Kock Seminary on 6 Ben Azzai Street in Bnei Brak to the Vizhnitz Life Center, where he will be buried.
