According to a report this evening (Monday) by Yuval Segev on Channel 13, Netanyahu did not arrive at the presidential residence with the prime minister's secure convoy, but was transported in a camouflaged vehicle to prevent him from being identified by passersby or media personnel.
It was also reported that the visit did not appear on the official schedule of the two individuals, was not reported to the general public, and was kept under heavy secrecy.
According to the information, Netanyahu's personal attorney, Attorney Amit Haddad, and President Herzog maintained close and direct contact through telephone calls - even before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu submitted his pardon request.
The President's Office denied the existence of the meeting in question.
However, they noted that "the president has met in the past and will meet in the future with prime ministers, as previous presidents and prime ministers have met on various matters of state.".
In addition, the President's Office denied any coordination with lawyer Haddad in the Prime Minister's case.
Netanyahu's office has not yet responded.
