Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived today (Monday) at the Navy's command post located at the Kirya camp in Tel Aviv.
Is 100,000 NIS right for you before Shavuot? Last hours for the big lottery!
The Prime Minister was accompanied on his visit by Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir.
During the visit, the Prime Minister received a detailed professional overview from the Commander of the Navy, Major General Eyal Harel.
Netanyahu and senior officials watched as naval forces took control of the flotilla of terror supporters that had left Turkish ports.
The vessels participating in the flotilla sailed with the aim of breaking the security maritime blockade imposed on the coast of the Gaza Strip. The forces operated in the maritime space to stop the progress of these ships and prevent them from reaching their destination.
While in the command post, Prime Minister Netanyahu contacted the commander of Fleet 13 and conveyed his praise to the fighters participating in Operation Belfry.
""Please convey my congratulations to all the soldiers of the force. I think you are doing an exceptional job, both in the first flotilla and in this part, and are essentially eliminating a malicious plan intended to break through the isolation we are imposing on the Hamas terrorists in Gaza," Netanyahu said.
In his remarks to the fighters, the Prime Minister emphasized the operational importance of the activity: "You are doing it with great success, and I must say also quietly, and certainly less conspicuously than our enemies expected, and therefore congratulations from the bottom of my heart. Keep going until the end. The water looks simply wonderful. I would like to be with you.".
