Ministry of Justice reminds: Your license validity has been extended due to the war

Due to the special security situation declared in the home front, the extensive mobilization of business owners and officials into the reserve forces, and the fact that many evacuees are not at home, the Knesset approved the government's proposal to extend the validity of regulatory permits.

The law extends the validity of various licenses, approvals and permits ("regulatory approvals") that citizens and businesses require, such as business licenses, import permits, construction permits, licenses to practice a profession, and more.

The law applies to permits issued by the government, local authorities, statutory corporations and other bodies ("public authority"). Additional and specific information will appear on the website of each of them.

The law has three parts:

1. The law automatically extends all regulatory approvals by 3 months., except for exceptions defined in the second appendix. The extension includes business licenses, building permits, licenses to practice professions, and many other permits.
2. The law postpones deadlines in the process of imposing financial sanctions by 3 months..
3. The law extends periods defined in the Real Estate Taxation Law and related to receiving exemption from sales and purchase taxes.

The extension of validity is automatic. The citizen or business is not required to take any action on their part to benefit from it (for example, they are not required to issue a license or submit a renewal application or pay a fee).
