After yesterday the Samaria Regional Council announced a huge campaign to recruit hundreds of families for the establishment of 18 new settlements in northern Samaria, it has now been revealed that the move is taking shape and is moving into the practical phase.
This summer, at least three new settlements will be built in the area, including Tamon, Bezeq, and Ganim, as a critical step in strengthening the presence and grip on the land.
The campaign is promoted by the Samaria Regional Council together with the Amana Movement and in cooperation with the Settlement Division and the Ministry of Settlement, and is intended to recruit many hundreds of families to the new settlements in northern Samaria.
The move to land by Tamon, Bezeq and Ganim constitutes the spearhead of the council's expansion plan, which is progressing at a rapid pace and is receiving government support and assistance in all areas of infrastructure.
Dagan called on families to join the new settlements: "Since we were expelled from our home almost 21 years ago, we have not stopped dreaming, fighting and working together to return here. And here we are, repairing, destroying four settlements in northern Samaria and building 18. We received a second chance from the Holy One, blessed be He, and we are not missing it.".
The head of the council added: "Reality proves that security only stems from holding on to the land, and we are determined to fill the settlement void created by the expulsion. The Ganim nucleus is the spearhead of a broad movement in northern Samaria. And the new settlements of Bezeq and Tamon and other settlements are expected to significantly thicken the settlements of northern Samaria and turn the area into one of the most fertile and powerful places in the country. We are pouring practical content into the repeal of the Disengagement Law - in construction, infrastructure, and a permanent presence in northern Samaria.".
Dagan emphasized the vision for the future of northern Samaria: "The correction here is a correction for all of Israel. The Jewish people are victorious, there will be excellent settlements here, and Samaria will become the heart of the Land of Israel.".
