Last night (Monday), Border Police soldiers in the Jerusalem Encirclement and crossing guards operating at the Ofer Crossing noticed a suspicious vehicle approaching the crossing, with a minor sitting in the front of the vehicle.
Following a suspicion that arose, the fighters searched the vehicle, during which 3 illegal residents were located and removed from the trunk.
The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old resident of East Jerusalem, was arrested and transferred to the police for further investigation.
Later that evening, in further activity by the forces at the crossing, and with intelligence guidance from the Ministry of Investigations and Intelligence at the Jerusalem Border Police, another suspicious vehicle was located. A search conducted inside it found 5 illegal residents.
The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old resident of Mukaybela, was also arrested and transferred to the police for further investigation.
