The court today (Thursday) allowed it to be published that the woman found lifeless in a warehouse near Saker Park in Jerusalem is Ruth Abramov, 74 years old.
Abramov, who previously worked as a producer on the Kol Israel news program, has been missing since 2008, and over the years the police have worked to locate her - without success.
Abramov's body was found in a warehouse, and a 70-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene. At this stage, it is not yet clear whether this was a natural death or a criminal incident.
Attorney Gabi Tronishvili, who represents the suspect in the murder of the woman in the Nachlaot neighborhood in Jerusalem on behalf of the public defender's office: "Today, after eight days of detention, an innocent adult man who stuck to his version of events throughout was released. He made it clear from the first moment that he was the one who called the rescue forces immediately when he found the deceased, and that he did not cause her death.
""We welcome the release, but regret that it took the investigating unit eight days of unnecessary detention to accept his words and understand that he had no hand in the matter. We wish him success in recovering from the difficult experience he went through.".
