
The Employment Service reports an increase in the number of registrations since the approval of the GALAT outline by the Labor and Welfare Committee last week.
The service calls on employees who have been placed on unpaid leave, as well as employers who wish to report on their employees centrally, to come forward and register on the site in order to avoid delays with the completion of the legislation.
According to employment service data, from the beginning of the war until today, 50,798 new job seekers have registered.
This is a jump of over 10,000 new registrants since Wednesday, with the publication of the progress of the Halat outline.
Of all those registered since the start of the campaign: 28,723 citizens reported that they were placed on unpaid leave (employer's leave), which constitutes 56.51% of all those registered. This is compared to 12,731 citizens who were fired from their jobs.
The total number of currently active job seekers in Israel stands at 205,824.
In the geographical breakdown of the new registrants: 13,596 citizens were registered in the Dan District, 13,526 in the Northern District, 8,243 in the Sharon and Emakim District, 7,852 in the Jerusalem District, and 7,581 in the Southern District.
In terms of gender breakdown - 32,217 women (approximately 63.4%) and 18,581 men (approximately 36.6%) registered.
