Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to appoint Tal Gilboa, who serves as his advisor on animal affairs, as spokesperson to replace Ziv Agmon, who resigned.

Gilboa's partner, Roy Shafernik, has already congratulated her on Facebook: "Good luck to Tal, who will be the spokesperson for the Prime Minister of Israel starting tomorrow. I'm sure you will be a huge success.".

Gilboa is the aunt of Guy Gilboa Dalal, who was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and released in the latest hostage deal on the evening of Simchat Torah.

Agmon resigned after commentator Amit Segal's publication on Channel 12 about his offensive statements about Mizrahi Jews, Likud members, Netanyahu, and his family members.
